There has been a lot of discussion about the streets and extreme traffic problems uptown including the newest shutdown of Prytania and restricted traffic flow on Nashville for ~ 6 months. Most discussions usually include the warnings that Magazine St. will be seriously restricted for several months at the same time Jefferson is shutdown and most of the crossing streets are unusable past Jefferson.

Please contact Councilwoman Susan Guidry (sgguidry@nola.gov) to hold a meeting with all "stakeholders" present to present the scope of the Magazine St. project and hear firsthand the difficulties uptown residents are experiencing attempting to conduct their household duties while driving on the restricted streets of the community. As we recently experienced with the brief closure on Magazine St., additional traffic restrictions at this time practically paralyzes the flow of traffic in our area.
