Three armed men wearing hoodies, one in a mask, robbed the Uptown restaurant Patois around 11:00 p.m. Thursday night. Owner Leon Touzet told the Uptown Messenger the last customers of the night were at their tables when three men carrying guns entered the restaurant on Laurel Street and forced everyone to the floor.

Touzet said one of the men wore a skull-type mask over the bottom half of his face.

The armed men took everyone's purses and wallets and the money in the cash register, Touzet said. The men also pressed their guns to the heads of many of the patrons, including Touzet and some of his employees.

The incident was over in about five minutes, Touzet said.

No one was harmed.
