Written comments on the following matter MUST BE submitted by 5 PM TODAY in order to be considered next Monday by the VOTING MEMBERS of the CITY PLANNING COMMISSION.

City Planning Commission (CPC) will consider a text amendment to the CZO (Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) to allow short term rentals in residential neighborhoods. This issue has become more confusing recently.

The docket for June 14 indicates that CPC will consider the original staff report which recommended allowing whole-house, non owner-occupied short term residential rentals with revision date of January 19, 2016 but does not mention the CPC revised Short Term Rental Study with revision date of January 28, 2016 where the City Planning Commission voted to remove whole-house, non owner-occupied short term rentals with the effect of making them NOT PERMITTED in residential zoning districts.

It is therefore likely that both the staff report and staff study will be considered next Tuesday by CPC.
